Education: Confirmation
Purpose and
The Affirmation of Baptism program’s purpose and mission is first, to support parents in their role as primary educators in the faith development of their children. Secondly, we want to support these young people as they mature in faith, grow in their understanding of the promised God made to them in their baptism, and strengthen their commitment to live as children of God. Thirdly, Affirmation of Baptism offers our young people an opportunity to be part of a community of believers who are encouraged to live out their faith in lives of service.
Vision
The vision of Affirmation of Baptism is for the young people and adults involved to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ and with each other, and through those relationships grow in the understanding of God’s boundless love and grace for each of them.
