Youth & Family:
General Information

We will feed and nourish the next generation, sending them into the world to live for and tell others of God’s grace and mercy.

All youth are members of a larger family system.  Therefore, Our Savior’s Lutheran will help the home be a faith-nurturing center, sending Christian disciples into God’s world through the church.  Along with families, we are tools of the Holy Spirit in faith formation. Our mission crosses generations as our children and adults are invited to work side by side.  We work to build relational partnerships between youth, parents, adults, families, staff, volunteers, role models and mentors who represent multiple generations both inside and outside the family.

Jesus is at the center of all that we do.  It is only in the family of God that children can experience the power of Christian community.  We let the power of Jesus shape us and our activities.  Opportunities to experience God at work in our lives are offered in interactive, hands-on, relational and experiential ways.  “Whatever we do, whether in word or deed, we do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”  Colossians 3:17

To accomplish this ministry, Our Savior’s has a Youth & Family Minister, a YFM Assistant, a Youth Ministry Team, a Family Team, dozens of volunteers, involved parents, and several YFM programs.
